Group Fitness Instructor - Expressions of Interest

About the Role:

The role reports to the Team Leader Fitness and is responsible for facilitating safe and professional group fitness sessions, providing a high degree of customer engagement, and any other tasks associated with day-to-day upkeep of a group fitness room. The Group Fitness Instructor also manages programs and develops new initiatives to meet market trends within the fitness industry.

  • Shifts may include weekdays and weekends from early mornings to evenings at the Riverton and/or Cannington Leisureplexes.
  • Classes to teach include resistance programs, HIIT, Yoga, Pilates, Boxfit, Bootcamp, Aqua Aerobics, Konga/Tyga, etc.
  • Free gym membership to both Leisure Centres!
  • $43.34 - $59.25 per hour + 25% casual loading + super

Skills and Experience

  • Group fitness qualification(s) and demonstrated experience instructing group fitness classes (as listed above)
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check (if instructing children)
  • Certificate III or IV Fitness highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage others and communicate effectively
  • Safety minded and able to facilitate safe and professional group fitness sessions
  • Availability to work flexible hours to suit the needs of the service
  • Satisfactory national police clearance (under six months validity)
