Activity Instructor - Expression of Interest

About the Role:

This role reports to the Team Leader Fitness and will be responsible for providing specialist activity instructions to Leisureplex customers in activities such as Gymnastics, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, and Netball, etc. The successful applicants will facilitate safe and professional guidance, maintain equipment and other tasks associated with the day-to-day upkeep of a modern fitness centre.

The roles we have available are casual in nature, and if successful, you may be assigned to particular hours.

  • Shifts may include weekdays and/or Saturdays
  • Shifts are between 1 - 3 hours and range from 1 - 3 shifts a week (class type dependent)
  • Free gym membership to both Leisure Centres!
  • $22.79 - $23.91 per hour (depending on age) + 25% casual loading + super

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in instructing different sporting activities, such as Gymnastics, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, Netball or similar (relevant qualifications highly desirable)
  • Current Working with Children Check (if instructing children)
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong teamwork skills and natural inclination to work collaboratively
  • Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours to suit the needs of the service
  • Satisfactory national police clearance (under six months validity)
