Ranger

The role reports to the Supervisor Rangers & Community Safety Services and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while enforcing relevant legislation.

In this role, you will undertake duties such as:

  • Animal control and management of the City's Animal Care Facility
  • Fire hazard management and inspections
  • Control of Parking Local Law and off-road vehicle use

The successful applicant will enjoy:

  • 8.30am - 6pm over a 7-day roster
  • Gym Membership
  • $73,585.97 - $81,878.01 per annum + 10.5% super

Applicants will have possession of Certificate II in Security Operations, ROCS 1 and 2, formerly known as Ranger Municipal Law A and B, be able to maintain a current Class C Driver's licence at all times, as well as be able to provide a Working with Children Check and a current satisfactory National Police Certificate (within 6 months). The right applicant for the role will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate competency in investigative skills around ranger related legislation. They will have experience in animal handling, have the ability to work alone and in a team environment, and able to work a roster over a 7 day period.
