The role reports to the Supervisor Health & Wellness and will be responsible for contributing to the efficient and effective operations of the gym and fitness centres at the Leisureplexes, including providing fitness appraisals and exercise instruction and ensuring the correct use of free weights and machine equipment, as well as ensuring the appearance of the centres remain to a high standard. The successful applicant will work directly with the Supervisor to maintain current programs and have the opportunity to bring innovative ideas to develop new programs and initiatives to meet industry trends and needs.
- Cert III Fitness required
- From 20-60 hours per fortnight
- Free gym membership
- $21.48 - $25.33 per hour + 10.5% super
Applicants will have a Certificate III in Fitness as a minimum, as well as a current Senior First Aid Certificate and current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant for the role will have experience in hands-on fitness instruction, as well as ideally have experience in gym reception, membership consultancy and using recreation booking software. They will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service and experience. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a collaborative team setting, be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the customers and the service, and have an excellent work ethic.
