Public Health Projects Officer

Impact the Community in a Big Way!

The role reports to the Senior Environmental Health Officer and will be responsible for the effective implementation of the City's Public Health Plan 2019 - 2023 to support the development of a healthy community, empowering people to have healthy lifestyles, be physically active and socially engaged. The successful applicant will collaborate and engage with stakeholders both internal and external, leading community consultation and representing the City at meetings, workshops and working groups.

  • $70,468 - $75,271 pro-rata per annum + 10.5% super

  • Opportunity to implement the first Public Health Plan for the City.

Applicants will have a relevant qualification in environmental health, health promotion or public health or be studying towards such a qualification combined with highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and capability to effectively implement project actions and meet deadlines.

The right applicant for the role will have highly developed analytical, report writing and evaluation skills, as well as strong computer literacy with the ability to use modern software packages. They will enjoy working in a team setting and an excellent work ethic.
