Creche Assistant

The role reports to the Supervisor Children's Services and will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the crèche facilities at the Leisureplexes. This will include planning and preparation of suitable activities, supervision of children with a focus on safety and wellbeing, assisting children with toileting and eating, ensuring correct sign in and sign out of children, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for the children during their time. This role is also responsible for a high degree of customer service and administration.

  • $21.48 - $25 per hour + 25% casual loading 10.5% super

Applicants will have previous experience working a children's crèche facility or childcare centre, combined with a current Working with Children's Check; minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services; and a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant for the role will have a genuine interest in working with and caring for children and comfortably work in a group of 17-20 children aging from 12 weeks to 6 years old, a first aid qualification, combined with experience within the recreation industry. Applicants will also be comfortable working less than 15 hours per fortnight in a team setting, demonstrating excellent communication skills to build relationships with children and parents.
