Manager Clean Canning Operations

You have an exciting opportunity to join the City of Canning in the role of Manager Clean Canning Operations. You will play a key role in delivering the City's vision of a welcoming and thriving city. The role is offered on a Maximum Term Contract (5-years), Full-Time basis.

Make a significant impact to the City

This role is responsible for managing the operations of the Clean Canning subprogram, including maintenance of the Cities facilities, management of fleet and equipment, delivery of waste collection services and operation of the Resource Recovery and Waste Transfer Station. The successful applicant will promote and model entrepreneurial and innovative leadership that values and fosters teamwork, openness and accountability in order to achieve the best outcomes for the City and its people. A focus on developing a positive and high performing culture around workplace health & safety will contribute to thriving in this role. This position will work closely with the leadership in the Clean Canning subprogram.

  • 19 Day Month
  • Vehicle for business and conditional private use
  • 5-Year Maximum Term Contract

Applicants must have tertiary qualifications and/or significant demonstrated experience in leading and motivating operational teams, experience in writing, tendering procedures, contracts administration and budget control, as well as be able to provide a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant for the role will be highly adept in project management, have sound conceptual thinking and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. It is desirable that the applicant will also have a current HR licence and knowledge working with heavy fleet. They will enjoy working in a team setting and be able to model and build relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
