The role reports to the Leader Facilities and will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance, refurbishment and cleaning of property and assets across the City. In particular the role will manage contractors and lead a small team ensuring the work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety practices and procedures. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to be involved in capital projects from scope to delivery.

- $77,090 - $ 92,066 per annum + 10.5% super
Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in building and facility maintenance, including knowledge of building construction methods, techniques, regulatory compliance, laws and standards, as well as have a current C Class driver's licence and a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant will ideally have a tertiary qualification, and will have an understanding of the principles of customer service and workplace health and safety compliance. They will have the ability to liaise with people at all levels to effectively lead and guide a team and oversee contractors. The successful applicant will also have a working knowledge of task scheduling, cost control, estimating and budget procedures and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an excellent work ethic. There will be a requirement to be contactable after hours and occasionally work outside standard business hours.
