Waste Project Officer

The role reports to the Strategic Waste Officer and will be responsible for supporting and implementing the Strategic Waste Management Plan and driving various projects that contribute towards achieving the City's goals. The successful applicant will be joining the City of Canning at an exciting time for the promotion of sustainability and environment initiatives and have the opportunity to work closely with and engage both internal and external stakeholders.

- $77,090 - $86,435 per annum + 10.5% super
Applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science (or similar field); prior experience in waste management or environmental management; experience in environmental education as well as be able to provide a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant for the role will have experience in conducting research, writing reports, and policy and strategy implementation. They will enjoy working in a collaborative team setting; have good project management aptitude and an excellent work ethic.
