Customer Service Assistant

The City of Canning has an exciting opportunity for Customer Service Assistants to join us at the Riverton and Cannington Leisureplexes.

There are three (3) rostered permanent, part time positions available (rosters below) and casual opportunities will be scheduled around these part time rosters:

  • Riverton Leisureplex (24 hours per fortnight): Thursdays and Fridays 5:15am to 9:15am, and Saturdays 11am to 3pm
  • Cannington Leisureplex (29 hours per fortnight): Fridays 4pm to 8:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays 1pm to 6pm
  • Cannington Leisureplex (39 hours per fortnight): Thursday and Fridays 5:15 to 10:00am, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:45 to 11:45am

The Customer Service Assistant reports to the Supervisor Facility Administration of each Leisureplex and will be primarily focused on providing an exceptional customer experience to all visitors to the Leisureplexes. The successful applicants will coordinate centre bookings, perform cash handling and banking duties, perform point of sale transactions, action direct debit reconciliation and web based payment processes, and act as the first point of contact for all accounts and general enquiries in person and over the phone.

  • $21.48 - $25.33 per hour base rate + 10.5% super (+ 25% loading for casual positions)

Applicants will have experience in cash handling, as well as a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicants for the role will have previous experience in a similar position in a leisure facility, including experience in point of sale software, as well as credit control and debt collection. They will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and will have an excellent work ethic with a strong commitment to providing a positive experience for all customers with every visit.
