Learning & Development Advisor

The City of Canning aims to be a ‘Welcoming and Thriving City', giving our people an opportunity to thrive through work that truly makes a difference! We now have a new opportunity for a Learning & Development (L&D) specialist to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

The role reports to the Leader Organisational Development and will be responsible for analysing our training needs and building solutions to enhance the learning and development of our people.

This role will be working alongside experienced L&D and Change Management specialists as part of a high performing team. The successful applicant will be joining at a pivotal time of change and innovation and have the opportunity to analyse our training needs and develop solutions using a variety of methods including online, building knowledge centres and facilitated sessions.

  • $72,202 - $79,087 per annum + 10.5% super

Applicants will have demonstrated practical experience in a Learning & Development or training role which involved development and delivery of a variety of training solutions (using online, cascade knowledge approach and direct facilitation). Ideally, applicants will be able to demonstrate experience in supporting projects teams with the successful implementation of an ERP / system and/or change management activities to support cultural transformation.

In addition, applicants need to hold a Certificate IV Training and Assessment. Additional qualifications such as a Diploma in Human Resources or another relevant field would be well regarded. The right applicant for the role will be able to demonstrate working in a self-directed manner, forming connections with across a diverse workforce, and have strong data and analytical skills.
