Sports Umpire - Netball

The City of Canning has an exciting opportunity for a Netball Umpire to join us on a casual basis at the Cannington Leisureplex to oversee our Netball competitions, with matches available for coverage on Monday nights and Friday mornings, however, a wider availability is preferred.

The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate, high quality umpiring and provision of competitive games in the competition, by maintaining your knowledge of the sport, ensuring players are ready and eligible to play and payment has been received. The successful applicant will maintain the highest level of customer service to ensure all players and spectators are provided with an enjoyable match experience.

  • Casual opportunity - currently Monday and Friday matches available
  • Gym membership available at the Leisureplexes
  • $17.46 to $25.62 per game + 25% casual loading + 10.5% super

Applicants will have a genuine interest in netball, combined with strong knowledge of the rules of Netball. A C badge certification or extensive experience in netball umpiring is required, including building a good rapport with players, and spectators, with the ability to handle difficult players and situations and resolve conflicts if necessary. The successful applicant will have a current satisfactory National Police Clearance and have the ability to pass the Netball Australia umpire test. They will enjoy working in a collaborative recreation team environment and have an excellent work ethic and dedication to providing a positive experience for all.
