The City of Canning has an exciting opportunity for a Leader Community Connections & Learning to join us on a temporary, full time basis.

The role reports to the Manager Community Learning and will be responsible for building connections within the community to encourage community capacity building and engagement with learning opportunities in the City. The successful applicant will be joining the City at an exciting time for the Community Learning team and have the opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of the City's Learning City Strategy and the development and delivery of programs and events to empower the City with skills to effect change.

  • Vehicle for personal or commuting use
  • $94,623 - $105,727 per annum + 10.5% super

Applicants will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Human Services or another related field, combined with a C Class driver's licence and a current satisfactory National Police Clearance. The right applicant for the role will have excellent knowledge of community and cultural development principles, combined with experience in the planning and delivery of community programming and events and in developing partnerships with community groups and service providers. They will have sound communication, evaluation and research skills, time management and organisational skills and an excellent work ethic.
