Golf Course Maintenance Operator

The City of Canning has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated operator to undertake the maintenance of the Whaleback Golf Course as Golf Course Maintenance Operator on a temporary, part time basis.
This role is responsible for the overall maintenance of the golf course, including mowing greens using a variety of machinery, turf maintenance, raking bunkers, plant and equipment maintenance, gardening and landscaping, general handyperson duties and general clean up.
- Temporary, four days per week
- $1,179.97 per week (pro rata), plus 10.5% superannuation
To be successful, you will have a certificate in turf or horticulture management with relevant experience, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in irrigation maintenance in local government or a golf course. You will have a C class driver's licence as a minimum, combined with a sound knowledge of equipment and safety issues relevant to turf management operations. The right applicant for the role will have the ability to use their initiative to make decisions, sound communication skills and a strong work ethic.
