Strategic Plans

The City has developed three key strategic plans which outline the City's 10-year strategic and financial direction.

The Strategic Community Plan (SCP), Corporate Business Plan (CBP) and Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP) were endorsed unanimously by Council in February 2022.

The suite of strategic plans were developed as part of the overarching Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, a State Government requirement outlined in the Local Government Reform Program.

The SCP guides the City’s goals and priorities, the CBP identifies the resourcing, projects, initiatives, and frameworks, and the LTFP outlines how financial resources are allocated to deliver the plans.

Community consultation for the SCP was undertaken through nine engagement methods and received input from 1,096 ratepayers. Over four years, 38,000 direct engagements were made with the community through surveys, polls, engagement and consultation.

The Local Government Act (1995) requires plans be subject to reviews every four years. The City commenced this review in 2021 with the last major review conducted in 2017.
